Do We Value UX Skills Over a UX Team?

Andy McGrath News, Practical Agility

Join us May 6th for the Next Practical Agility Gathering

More and more people are learning and experiencing the value of user experience (UX) and user centered design (UCD). In some companies, UX / UCD are shifting to be a skill over a role, much in the way that architecture has changed in healthy organizations. Differing from architecture, many software people do not know much about UX and many companies still have the UX team cordoned off in their own room.

This practical agility gathering is a forum for sharing ways that teams and companies are spreading and growing UX skills. To be clear, it is not an attack on UX teams. Quite the opposite, we hope to raise the awareness that more people having more UX skills will enrich our over all product thinking and customer empathy. If you know a UX person who might be interested, please reach out to them.

Continuing our goals of start a community by the community and for the community, the format of this session will be lightning talks followed by a fishbowl conversation. If you are interested in being one of the speakers, please email us at
