This 2 day course is based on 10 years of coaching experience, guiding the adoption and adaption of agile methods in large and small companies around the world. The course is highly interactive and covers a wide range of material: building community, working with people, teaching practices, fostering transparency, growing collaboration and more. The course challenges participants to engage in one on one as well as group activities.
This course is great for newly named coaches, certified scrum masters, managers, technical leads, or anyone who want to introduce or improve the use of agile methods.
Day 1: Introductions and expectations; examples of what is takes to be a coach; initial creation of a coaching persona, coaching pre-production (the coaching work the leads up to the first iterations which helps communities get ready to produce)
Day 2: Coaching the early iterations; interactive exercises around core coaching skills like growing collaboration, increasing transparency, fostering courage and learning from or reframing failure; keeping the community bonded during after the early iterations and dealing with change
