Nov 2nd at the Radisson Blu Minneapolis,35 South 7th Street, Minneapolis, MN 55402
Drawing on Nassim Taleb’s idea of Antifragile, 2016’s theme is Antifr-Agile. Sessions offer experience and ideas that go beyond “doing agile” and into continuously and successfully addressing dynamic opportunities, essential challenges and complex issues. The conference will be a dogma-free event, committed to accelerated learning through intentional diversity.
Exemplifying Agile Day’s theme (Antifr-Agile), Casey Rosenthal, engineering manager of the Traffic and Chaos teams at Netflix, will open the conference with his talk Complex Systems: Chaos and Intuition Engineering, where he’ll talk about establishing empirical trust metrics and contemporary ways of navigating complexity that classical methods are unable to address. Check the full talk description here.
The conference will follow the format of past years, an opening talk, followed by breakout sessions, and ending with an afternoon open space where attendees will be able to dive deeper on topics they wish to explore further. Other speakers will include Esra Kucukciftci, David Hussman, Amy Jo Kim, Nora Jones, Mary Poppendieck, John Willis, and more.
