On August 17 and 18, the Swang Business Center in Nashville, TN will be hosting Nashville’s first local, full day conference dedicated to Agile, Lean, Kanban, Scrum, and more. DevJam is proud that Joel Tosi and David Laribee will be presenting.
Joel Tosi will be giving the talk “Enter the Dojo – Growing Agile & DevOps that Stick.”
Description: Many people and organizations have their own definition of DevOps. Additionally, getting DevOps & Agile practices to stick in large organizations is a challenge.
In this session we will come up with a simple, non-technical framing of DevOps. From there, Joel will lead the group through ways of getting DevOps and Agile practices to stick using a Product oriented focus. The story of the backdrop will be the Target Dojo and how we grew sticky practices there.
David Laribee will be giving the talk “Testing Strategy – New Model, Better Outcomes.”
Description: Pyramids? Quadrants? Cupcakes?! There are a number models that describe approaches to test automation strategy and their possible outcomes.
In this talk, we’ll look at classical models of testing patterns and antipatterns – technical, cultural, productive and anti-productive. Adding layers of professional experience, real world example, and case study, I’ll add detail and nuance to these models.
With a new lens, focused on tests as value amplifiers, I’ll share a new approach to evolving a testing strategy appropriate for your product. Attendees will learn effective measurement technique, putting code coverage fixation to rest.
